2. Information handled by this website
Static browsing
The website itself contains no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, user accounts or server-side contact form. Its pages do not deliberately collect personal information.
A web-hosting provider may process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and request time, to deliver and secure the site. The provider and retention period depend on where the site owner publishes these files. The site owner should update this section with the chosen host’s details before public launch.
Theme preference
If you switch between light and dark themes, the site saves that choice in local browser storage under the key funky-beats-theme. This value stays in your browser, is not sent to us and can be removed by clearing site data.
Contact
The contact page creates an email in your own email application. Nothing typed into that form is submitted to or stored by this website. If you send the email, we receive the details you choose to include and use them to answer your enquiry. Your email provider processes the message under its own terms and privacy policy.
External links
Links to Google Play and other external services take you away from this website. Those services may receive standard request information and apply their own privacy practices.
3. Information processed by Pace Trainer
Pace Trainer is an offline reading and speaking practice app. It has no account system, advertising, analytics or cloud service. The app does not request internet permission and does not collect, sell, share or transmit personal data.
The following information may be processed and stored only in the app’s private space on your device:
- Practice sessions and timing estimates;
- Reflections, saved passages and practice goals;
- Display, pacing and reminder preferences;
- Progress, streaks and milestones; and
- Optional voice recordings that you choose to save.
This local information is used only to provide the app features you choose.
4. Microphone and voice recordings
Microphone access is optional. Pace Trainer requests it only after you choose to record a practice take. Recording occurs only while the recording indicator is visible and stops when you stop it or the app leaves the foreground.
Audio files are stored in the app’s private folder. They are not uploaded, analysed or shared with FUNKY BEATS LTD or any third party. Every non-recording feature remains available if you deny microphone access.
5. Notifications
If you enable a daily reminder, Pace Trainer may request notification permission where Android requires it. The reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No message, account or device identifier is sent to a server.
6. Backups, retention and deletion
Pace Trainer excludes its app data and recordings from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Unsaved voice takes are deleted when you leave their review or when the app next starts.
You can delete saved recordings individually and reset sessions, reflections and recordings from Settings. Uninstalling the app removes all remaining app data. Because the information is not sent to us, we cannot view, export, recover or delete it for you remotely.
7. Third parties and security
The app contains no advertising, analytics, social, attribution or cloud SDK. Local data is protected by Android’s app sandbox. No security method can eliminate every risk, so you should protect access to your device and keep Android up to date.
8. Children’s privacy
Pace Trainer is not designed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app’s recommended audience is age 13 and over.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you rights over personal information a company holds, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or complaint to a regulator. Pace Trainer app information stays on your device and is not accessible to us. For information you send by email, contact us at hello@funkybeats.space.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, app or applicable requirements change. We will change the effective date and make the revised policy available on this page and, where appropriate, in the app.
